Named Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills on November 3, 1986 and remained until his retirement on December 31, 1997...named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001...is the only coach in NFL history to lead his team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances...his 154 career victories place him 10th all-time in NFL history...his 123 victories with the Bills are a team record...led his team to eight postseason appearances in his 11 full seasons...led his team to five conference championships, winning four...11 post-season victories tie him for 5th in NFL history...tied legendary Chicago Bears coach George Halas by serving as the eldest coach in NFL history having coached the 1997 season at the age of 72.
