Here are ways you can support our neighbors in the Buffalo community impacted by the 2022 Blizzard.
The Community Resilience Fund
Through the United Way Community Resilience Fund, we invite community members to be part of this ongoing effort to provide support and build lasting financial security for families in our region.
FeedMore WNY continues the longstanding mission of offering dignity, hope and a brighter future by providing nutritious food, friendship and skills training to its Western New York neighbors in need.
Volunteers for meal delivery drivers are the greatest need currently.
To donate to our local chapter, click give now and, in the drop, down under I want to support they may designate "Your Local Red Cross". This will help the Red Cross carry out its immediate response to this historic storm, including providing shelter to those in need, assisting families who have experienced a loss of life as a direct result of the storm, and bring vital supplies—blankets, hats, gloves and shovels—to the areas that need them most.
Code Blue Shelters – WNY Coalition for the Homeless
The Western New York Coalition for the Homeless is an association of service providers and concerned individuals who have joined together to empower and advocate for people in need of safe, affordable, and permanent housing and related services.
The GoFundMe community is coming together to help people who are raising money to rebuild, help with medical bills, and support community relief efforts.
The Thurman Thomas Family Foundation will be raising funds over the next week to assist our community in ways that are most needed in the aftermath of the 2022 Blizzard.
The Buffalo Snow Brigade is an effort from community partners to provide snow removal services by neighbors, for neighbors through a mutual aid process.
Peer-to-peer organizing, humanitarian assistance, and reliable information sharing. All donations made will go toward blizzard community response, including grocery delivery and Snow Brigade support.
