A few notes about minicamp:
Workouts are mandatoryAll players on the roster are required to participate, unlike the voluntary OTA workouts.
No padsUnder the terms of the new CBA pads cannot be worn during this phase of offseason workouts. Players can be required to wear helmets, but no pads and no shells (smaller version of shoulder pads).
ParticipantsPlayers are expected to be on hand in full including Stanford undrafted rookie safety Delano Howell, who had to finish his final exam schedule by league rule before participating in spring workouts. Howell reported to One Bills Drive for the first time since rookie minicamp Monday.
Open to the Media
By league rule all practices are open to the media. Players are available for comment after each session; assistant coaches are available Tuesday, and head coach Chan Gailey on Thursday.
