The uniform design and the game itself share a common theme that highlights the faster, "unconferenced" format introduced for the 2014 Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl is "fantasy football for real," allowing players, coaches and fans to vote for the two teams. Once selected, the two teams — captained by Hall of Fame wide receivers Cris Carter and Michael Irvin — will compete in a "best in the NFL" match-up. Team Irvin's uniforms are punctuated by vibrant orange accents, while Team Carter showcases Volt accents.
Individual Nike-sponsored athletes will wear the Nike Vapor Untouchable cleat. The first Nike Flyknit football cleat made with recycled polyester yarn, the Nike Vapor Untouchable leverages the power of sustainable innovation and pushes the limits of speed and strength on the field. Each pair of Nike Vapor Untouchable cleats is knit with the equivalent of five recycled plastic bottles.
Nike athletes will also wear Nike Vapor Knit Glove in colors that correspond to their Pro Bowl team's orange or yellow accent. The Vapor Jet Knit Glove is built with one-piece knit construction and Magnigrip surface palm, allowing full freedom of movement while enhancing grip.
