Ahead of Wednesday's practice going into Week 5, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the following players will not practice today:
- CB Christian Benford (hand)
- WR Jake Kumerow (ankle)
- WR Jamison Crowder (ankle)
- S Jordan Poyer (ribs)
- LB Tremaine Edmunds (hamstring)
- TE Dawson Knox (TBD)
- LB Von Miller (vet rest)
- DT DaQuan Jones (vet rest)
- OT Roger Saffold (vet rest)
Edmunds is a new addition to the injury list this week after recording nine tackles against the Ravens. Poyer was limited during practices last week with a foot injury but played in Week 4 and had two INTs. McDermott said this week Poyer is dealing with "sore ribs" following the Baltimore game. Knox had been dealing with a back/rip injury last week but McDermott did not specify if that is the exact injury affecting the tight end this week.
Miller, Jones and Saffold are off for a veteran rest day, according to McDermott.
On the plus side, DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring), DT Ed Oliver (ankle) and WR Isaiah McKenzie (concussion) are all expected to be a limited participant on Wednesday. This is especially good news for Phillips who hasn't played or practiced since Week 2.
Wednesday post-practice update: Isaiah McKenzie (concussion) was downgraded to a non-participant in practice, making for 10 DNP players.
