APRIL 3, 2012: On this date in Bills history, Nike unveiled new, Elite 51 uniforms for all 32 teams at a reveal event in New York City. Check out the full photo gallery here.
While the Bills new duds featured subtle changes to the overall design, Nike made several upgrades to the uniforms from a performance standpoint, including:
- "Flywire" fabric in the 'V' of the neckline, allowing the jersey to stretch but not slide when players are tackled
- Mesh down the outside of the legs of the pants, for enhanced thermoregulation
- Integrated padding directly into the crucial "hit zones"
- Lighter weight and tighter body-contoured fit
