The Bears scored the first touchdown of the game on their first drive of the second half on a run from WR Velus Jones Jr. who lined up in the backfield. A few plays earlier, QB Tyson Bagent connected with TE Tommy Sweeney over the middle for a 25-yard gain that put the Bears in place to score the touchdown.

QB Shane Buechele took over for Trubisky on the Bills second drive of the second half and immediately led the offense on a 9-play, 36-yard drive down the field for a 49-yard field goal.

Bears LB Micah Baskerville put an end to the Bills' next drive, intercepting Buechele and taking it to the end zone for a touchdown. The pass was intended for RB Frank Gore Jr. RB Ian Wheeler added in two more scores for the Bears, bringing their lead to 27.
