With the Bills roster exemption for Seantrel Henderson expiring at 4 pm Monday, the club moved the offensive tackle onto the active roster.
The third-year player is coming off a four-game league imposed suspension. He's also still battling a medical condition that requires a strict dietary regimen to keep him available on a daily basis for practice.
This summer Henderson was beginning to recapture the form that made him the team's starting right tackle as a rookie in 2014 before the suspension was handed down. Now he'll work his way back as he now has competition to be the team's swing tackle with Michael Ola and Cyrus Kouandjio when he returns from an ankle injury.
To make room on the roster for Henderson the Bills placed safety Colt Anderson on injured reserve after he sustained a hand injury in Sunday's game at Los Angeles.
