The Bills made quick work of filling their open roster spot signing free agent DT John Hughes on Thursday afternoon.
Hughes, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL draft. A rotational defensive tackle for his entire pro career, Hughes played four seasons for the Browns, before spending the 2016 season with Tampa Bay and last season with New Orleans.
The most productive seasons for Hughes (6-2, 320) came in his first two NFL season with Cleveland when he had back-to-back 34-tackle seasons.
Hughes essentially fills the roster spot left vacant by the release of DT Tenny Palepoi on Wednesday.
Hughes will wear jersey No. 91.
