Bills add tackle to practice squad

The Bills made a move to have emergency depth on hand at offensive tackle. The team announced Thursday that they've signed OT Thomas Welch to the practice squad.

Welch was most recently with the New England Patriots, but was released on Nov. 8th. The 6-7, 310-pound Vanderbilt product entered the NFL as a seventh-round (208th overall) draft pick of the Patriots in 2010. Welch however, spent the 2010 season on Minnesota's practice squad before being signed the Vikings' 53-man roster on December 14th.

Then he re-signed with New England this past offseason and appeared in three games for the Patriots including his first NFL start on Oct. 2nd at Oakland.

To make room for Welch Buffalo released G Keith Williams from the practice squad.
