The Bills continue to make moves addressing the depth of their offensive line. On Tuesday, the Bills traded Marshall Newhouse to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a future conditional draft choice.
Newhouse was signed this past offseason as a free agent. He filled a backup role at tackle and was used this season as a tackle eligible on occasion.
To fill the vacant roster spot the Bills signed free agent offensive lineman Jeremiah Sirles.
Sirles (6-6, 315) was most recently with the Carolina Panthers. During final cuts the Panthers placed Sirles on injured reserve, but he was released in an injury settlement on Sept. 6th.
The offensive lineman has appeared in 30 career games with 15 starts. Fourteen of those starts came with the Minnesota Vikings over the last two seasons.
Originally signed by the Chargers in 2014 as an undrafted rookie, Sirles was traded to Minnesota for a sixth-round pick in 2016.
