Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard exited Buffalo's Super Wild Card game with against the Pittsburgh Steelers early in the third quarter on Pittsburgh's first drive of the second half.
Bernard was injured making a tackle and was carted off the field with an ankle injury. He was taken back for X-rays and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Several teammates came to the cart to send Bernard off before he left the field.
The first-year starter has 143 tackles, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. Bernard has been the voice of the defense as the middle linebacker.
Bernard had three tackles and two pass breakups in Sunday's game before the injury.
