In search of answers to improve production on the field, the Bills were awarded the claim for wide receiver and return specialist Isaiah McKenzie on Monday.

McKenzie (5-7, 175) is a former fifth-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2017. He was on the team's practice squad this past September and got a call up to the active roster on Oct. 25th, but was released by the club last Friday.

The Georgia product appeared in 11 games in his rookie season and one game this season for Denver. Most of his work has come as a punt returner.

McKenzie has 23 career punt returns for 196 yards to average 8.5 yards a return. Four of those returns went for 20 yards or more. He was a part-time kick returner as well for the Broncos.

He additionally had four receptions for 29 yards, all of which came in 2017.

To make room for McKenzie on the roster, the Bills released WR Cam Phillips.
