On Tuesday night, the wives and girlfriends of several Buffalo Bills players took to the field to host the Bills Family Flag Football Challenge to raise money for Haven House.

"The Bills are known for bringing the community together and their outreach that they do," Alexis Jones, wife of DaQuan Jones said. "In my own local community, I heard about the Haven House, and I wanted to introduce them to the Buffalo Bills. And what other way than in a friendly game of football."

Jones, along with Alexis Lewis, wife of DB Cam Lewis, organized the event.

"It was really fun, and I think it's amazing no matter who lost, it's all for a good cause," Lewis said.

"I think Alexis Lewis and Alexis Jones did a great job putting it together," TE Dawson Knox said. "A lot of people out here watching having fun. We hope the girls had fun. It seemed like they were, seems like they were really enjoying themselves. We definitely want to do it again. Raise some good money for a great cause."

The event was raising money for Haven House. Since 1979, Haven House has been providing innovative and dynamic services to prevent domestic violence/intimate partner violence and to stop the cycle of abuse. Haven House equips survivors with the tools and resources to recognize the signs of an abusive relationship and provides support along their journey to a violence-free life.

"It's all for Haven House, and that's really our mission, to do this to help those in need," Lewis said. "It brings the girls closer. We're a community, and it gives us something to look forward to outside of the guys playing football."
