Bills home primetime game tops 2012 schedule

'The Ralph' will be roaring the evening of Thursday, Nov. 15 this fall. That's when the Bills play host to one of their most storied rivals in the Miami Dolphins for an 8:20 pm kickoff. The Week 11 primetime game is the highlight of Buffalo's 2012 regular season schedule brought to you by Adam's Mark.

The Bills and Dolphins haven't squared off in primetime since 2003 when the two AFC East clubs met in Miami for a Sunday night contest in Week 3 that year. Buffalo and Miami are an even 6-6 in primetime games.

Buffalo opens the season on the road against another division rival in the New York Jets on Sept. 9th for a 1 pm kickoff. The last time the Bills opened the season with the Jets was 2002, but it's the first time Buffalo faces New York on the road to open the year since their inaugural season (1960) in the AFL when the New York club was called the Titans.

The Bills home opener is in Week 2 (Sept. 16) when they play host to Kansas City. Buffalo ruined the Chiefs home opener in 2011 with a 41-7 rout at Arrowhead.

After a Sept. 23rd matchup in Cleveland with the Browns, Buffalo faces a pair of division champions in succession. In Week 4 (Sept. 30) the Bills face the Patriots at Ralph Wilson Stadium, where they ended their nine-year losing streak to New England in 2011, followed by a Week 5 road game at San Francisco to face the defending NFC West champs in a 4:15 pm kickoff.

The Cardinals are the next opponent on Oct. 14th in Arizona (4:05 pm start) before a Week 7 home date against Tennessee (Oct. 21st).

Following the bye in Week 8, Mario Williams brings his new Bills teammates to Houston to face his former club, the Texans, for a 1 pm kickoff on Nov. 4. Buffalo's last game in Houston came in 2006, when the Bills won on a last second touchdown pass 24-21.

In Week 10 Buffalo travels to New England for a 1 pm kickoff on Nov. 11th. Then it's a quick turnaround in four days to face the Dolphins at home in the prime time contest.

After a Week 12 road game at Indianapolis (Nov. 25th), four of Buffalo's last five games are at home counting the Toronto game, which is in Week 15 against Seattle (Dec. 16th).

The Bills face former head coach Mike Mularkey and former Bills Lee Evans and Paul Posluszny when Jacksonville comes to Orchard Park in Week 13 (Dec. 2nd). That's followed by a Week 14 home contest against St. Louis.

Only the Week 16 game at Miami (Dec. 23rd) interrupts the string of home games, with the Jets bookending the season in Week 17 at Ralph Wilson Stadium for a 1 pm kickoff on Dec. 30th.
