Local Bills Legend Charles 'Charley' Ferguson passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 83.
Charley, a Galveston, TX native was a tight end with the AFL's Buffalo Bills for seven seasons from 1963–1969.
He was a part of four Bills playoff teams (1963-1966) and was a member of the Bills' 1964-1965 AFL Championship teams. More, he was an AFL All-Star in 1965 and also played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns (1961) and Minnesota Vikings (1962).
The family will have a wake on Friday, Feb. 24 from 6 - 9 p.m. and a Celebration of Life in honor of Ferguson on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. Both events will take place at First Shiloh Baptist Church in Buffalo.
