The Buffalo Bills have announced that Thursday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions at 7 p.m. at Ralph Wilson Stadium has not sold out and will be blacked out on local television. The game will be broadcast on a tape delay on Friday, August 29 on WKBW-TV at 7 p.m. and WHAM-TV at 7:30 p.m., as well as on Time Warner Cable Sportschannel on Saturday, August 30 at 2:30 p.m.
Fans interested in attending Thursday's game are encouraged to purchase tickets online at buffalobills.com or ticketmaster.com, by visiting the Ralph Wilson Stadium ticket office, or by calling 1-877-BB-TICKS (228-4257). Partial season tickets for the 2014 season are still available in the club and suite areas of the stadium.
In honor of USA Football Month, the Buffalo Bills will host 5,000 youth football players, coaches and their families at Ralph Wilson Stadium to reward children and coaches that participate in local NFL Flag Football leagues and in Heads Up Football - a nationwide initiative to teach proper tackling techniques, heat and hydration protocol and equipment fitting to youth coaches and players to keep our game safe for future generations. In addition to those guests in the stadium, the Bills will host members of the Port Allegany Gators from the Olean Area Youth Football League, who will take the field first to form Stampede Row during Bills player introductions, and the GC Cowboys from the Buffalo City Youth Football League, who will line up on the Bills sideline during the National Anthem. At the conclusion of the first half, the Greece Cardinals Youth Football and Spencerport Jr. Rangers Youth Football organizations – both of the American Youth Football League of Rochester – will square off in a halftime scrimmage.
