The Buffalo Bills offense was honored on Monday, April 25 for their efforts during the 2015 season, which included compiling the No.1 ranked rushing attack in the NFL. The event, Ilio DiPaolo's Sports Night to Toast the Buffalo Bills Offense, was held at Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant in Blasdell, N.Y. The fun-filled evening featured a celebratory family style dinner, complete with keynote speakers and a silent auction. All proceeds from the night benefited the Police Athletic Club of Buffalo.
The guest list included several members of Buffalo's offensive coaching staff, as well as a host of players, alumni, and passionate Bills fans. Bills offensive coordinator Greg Roman, offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, quarterbacks coach David Lee, quarterback Tyrod Taylor, guard Cyril Richardson, tackle Jordan Mills, guard John Miller, center Eric Wood, guard Richie Incognito, tackle Cyrus Kouandjio and guard Ryan Groy were among those in attendance.
The dinner kicked off with a speech delivered by Vic Carucci, long-time Buffalo News sports writer. Carucci was met with applause from the crowd as he highlighted the Bills 2015 season and introduced offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
"This Bills team, this version in 2015-16 had an incredible story and the number that defines it—I mean it's bigger than this—but the number that defines it is 2,432, said Carucci." "…I think you know that is the total rushing yards that this team had in the 2015 season."
The evening continued with an address by Greg Roman, as well as a surprise visit by Bills safety Aaron Williams.
In reflecting on the night Pro Bowl center Eric Wood, an integral component of Buffalo's offensive line, expressed his gratitude.
"It's fun to be honored…and having the number one rushing attack is something to be proud of… it was fun raising some money for a good cause, said Wood."
