With just three defensive tackles on their 53-man roster, the Bills set to bolster their ranks on the defensive interior. On Saturday, Buffalo promoted DT Robert Thomas to the active roster from their practice squad.
Thomas (6-1, 316) was most recently with the New York Giants, before he signed with the Bills. He's appeared in 24 career games, with 23 coming with the Giants over the last two seasons. The 27-year old figures to play a rotational role on Buffalo's defensive line.
To make room on the roster for Thomas the Bills released Jeremy Kerley.
Thomas will wear number 97.
