Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Thursday morning that QB Josh Allen and rest the Bills starters will play about "a quarter and a half" in Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers.
While Allen and WR Stefon Diggs sat out the preseason opener against the Colts, the Bills played their starters for the first quarter vs. Indianapolis. The Bills had a 7-0 lead after the first quarter and went on to win 23-19.
McDermott said he believes there's still value in playing starters during preseason.
"Simply put, it's to get them ready for the season," he shared before Thursday's practice.
The Bills-Steelers matchup will kickoff on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. from Acrisure Stadium.
