The Buffalo Bills have released safety Mike Edwards prior to today's 4 p.m. NFL Trade Deadline.
Edwards signed with the Bills in the offseason on a one-year deal and had one tackle in three games played this season.
The Bills now have an open spot on the 53-man roster, should the team decide to make any moves at the trade deadline. Bills head coach Sean McDermott also shared Monday that the team is expected to place DE Dawuane Smoot (wrist) on injured reserve sometime this week.
