With a vacancy on their roster Buffalo didn't wait long to fill it as they signed free agent C Macky MacPherson. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
MacPherson is reunited with his college coach in Bills head coach Doug Marrone. The 6-2, 290-pound Syracuse product played in 50 career games, starting 38 (2010-13) for the Orange. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., MacPherson earned Second Team All-ACC honors in 2013. He will wear No. 76.
The lineman is also the grandson of former Syracuse head coach Dick MacPherson. Â
