The Bills have quickly filled the empty roster spot left by Mana Silva, who abruptly left the team Monday.
Buffalo signed FA safety Mark LeGree. LeGree has been on practice squad and regular season rosters of six NFL clubs since originally being drafted by Seattle in 2011 as a fifth-round pick.
LeGree spent part of the 2011 season with the Jets under Mike Pettine so he has familiarity with the Bills defensive scheme.
LeGree, a 6-0, 211-pound Appalachian State product, earned All-American honors three times and collected 22 interceptions in his college career. He set a school-record of 10 interceptions in 2008.
He'll wear No. 30.
