The Bills added to their defensive line room on Thursday morning. Buffalo has signed defensive tackle Linval Joseph to their active roster.
Joseph most recently played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 and started in eight games for them. The 14-year vet has also played for the Chargers (2020-2021), Vikings (2014-2019) and Giants (2010-2013).
The defensive tackle's best year statistically came in 2016 when he posted 4.0 sacks, 17 quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and 77 total tackles in 16 starts.
Over his 13 years in the NFL, the two-time Pro Bowler has started in 170 games and played in 179. He has racked up 25.5 sacks, 76 quarterback hits, 56 tackles for loss, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 664 total tackles during his time in the league. Joseph also played in Super Bowl XLVI where the Giants defeated the Patriots in 2012.
He was originally drafted by the Giants in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at East Carolina University and is from Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
To make room for Joseph, CB Kaiir Elam was placed on injured reserve.
