He had three days to make a good impression during rookie minicamp. For FB Zach Olstad it was mission accomplished. Buffalo signed him to a contract on Monday.
Olstad played his college football at Winona State where the 5-11, 245-pound fullback made 28 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown in his career. He rarely carried the ball as he served primarily in a blocking role.
During rookie minicamp, Olstad also lined up at fullback for the Bills.
The only other fullback on Buffalo's roster is veteran Pat DiMarco.
To make room on the roster for Olstad the Bills placed RB Aaron Green on the waived-injured list.
