The Buffalo Bills honored the passing of Luke Knox, younger brother of Bills tight end Dawson Knox, with a moment of silence prior to Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.

Bills fans have shown their support for the Knox family this week, donating more than $150,000 to the P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative, a non-profit organization in Western New York dedicated to helping fight children's pediatric cancer.

Dawson Knox has worked closely with P.U.N.T. since becoming a member of the Bills. The tight end has a giveback initiative “Knox Sox” where he donates $1,000 for every touchdown and $100 for every catch that he makes.

"Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support for my family. Our hearts are broken but we know Luke is in a much better place now with his savior Jesus," Knox said in a tweet Friday evening.

The Knox family will hold a Celebration of Life for Luke Saturday afternoon in their home state of Tennessee.
