A day after waiving defensive lineman Marlon Favorite, the Bills also parted ways with two more players Wednesday. Buffalo waived RB Walter Mendenhall and OL Kyle Mutcher.
Mendenhall was signed as a free agent on April 7. He had previously been with the Colts prior to the 2009 season as a late training camp signing. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles last spring.
The signing of Chad Simpson Tuesday is what likely made Mendenhall's status on Buffalo's roster tenuous.
Mutcher was a college free agent signing of the Bills shortly after the 2010 NFL draft. The Weber State product lined up as the third center in the team's rookie minicamp last weekend behind second-year lineman Christian Gaddis and fellow rookie free agent Sean Allen.
