The Buffalo Bills have signed quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to a 2-year contract, bringing the seven-year veteran back to Western New York.
Trubisky, who was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2017, spent 2021 as the Bills' backup quarterback, appearing in six games, scoring one rushing touchdown and throwing one interception.
Since coming into the league, Trubisky has started 57 games, thrown for 12,536 yards and 72 touchdowns.
The former North Carolina quarterback spent the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Trubisky made two starts in 2023 and appeared in five total games, completing over 62 percent of his passes for four touchdowns and five interceptions while adding a pair of rushing touchdowns on the ground.
Trubisky was a four-year starter in Chicago (2017-2020), earning one Pro Bowl nomination and leading the Bears to a playoff appearance in 2018.
He will wear No. 11 with the Bills.
