'Buffalo Bills' among Google's top search terms in 2014

It has been a crazy year for the Buffalo Bills.

From the passing of founding owner Ralph Wilson, to Jim Kelly’s battle with cancer and the sale of the team to the Pegula family, the Bills have been top-of-mind from start to finish in 2014.

Here are just a few of the happenings that have made the Buffalo Bills fourth overall in the top trending searches among NFL teams in 2014, as announced by Google in the annual Year in Search review:

-A blockbuster draft-day trade to land WR Sammy Watkins with the No. 4 overall pick

-Jim Schwartz hired as defensive coordinator after the departure of Mike Pettine to become head coach of the Cleveland Browns

-The free agency signings of fan favorites Brandon Spikes and Boobie Dixon

-The postponement and eventual termination of the Toronto series

-$130 million in renovations to Ralph Wilson Stadium, and the development of a New Stadium Working Group

-The signing of veteran QB Kyle Orton and the announcement of Orton as the starter over EJ Manuel

-An offseason injury to LB Kiko Alonso

-Playing in London in 2015 against the Jacksonville Jaguars
