For the third year in a row, Fisher-Price®, the Buffalo Bills and Wegmans Food Markets are teaming up to support the Buffalo community with this year's Fisher-Price® Little People Collector® Buffalo Bills figure set.
"To have three global brands come together to support our community's Children's Hospital is a magnificent example of the spirit of Buffalo," said Don Boyd, President and CEO of Kaleida Health at an Aug. 5 check presentation event.
Bills Fans are at the heart of this initiative to benefit the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, a partner to both Fisher-Price® and the Buffalo Bills. Fisher-Price® supports The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation, providing philanthropic support to John R. Oishei Children's Hospital to ensure access to high quality health care for the moms, kids and babies of Western New York.
"Thank you, to the team at Fisher Price for really developing a product that appeals to people of all ages, not just children," said Patty Kaminski, SVP of the Buffalo Division of Wegmans. "We love the Fisher Price Little People. And to the Buffalo Bills for your unwavering support making a difference in our community and getting behind a community project."
Given such tremendous local fan support, Fisher-Price has now donated nearly $3 million to the Children's Hospital Buffalo Foundation since the launch of the first Little People Collector® Buffalo Bills set in 2021. Last year, Fisher Price® raised $1 million from the Little People Collector® Buffalo Bills figure set.
"Our community is generous, we're committed to giving back, and of course, we all love our Buffalo Bills," Boyd said. "So, we at Kaleida Health, we cannot thank you enough for using your influence in such a positive way to raise much needed funds for our Oishei Children's Hospital."
With the money that has been raised, Oishei Children's Hospital has been able to purchase life-saving equipment that has helped children in the pediatric ICU, in the trauma bay in the ER and throughout the hospital. They have also been able to find nurses, physicians and surgeons, as well as provide innovative surgical techniques and other treatments for the children in their care.
Bills QB Josh Allen was present during the check presentation and helped present the $1 million donation.
