Bills sign S Damar Hamlin to one-year deal

Safety Damar Hamlin is returning to the Bills on a one-year deal, the team announced Friday morning.

Hamlin's 2025 season was cut short due to a pectoral injury that landed him on injured reserve on Oct. 11. Prior to his injury, Hamlin appeared in five games as a role/depth player for the Bills, recording one tackle.

Bills sign C Lloyd Cushenberry, WR Trent Sherfield and C/G Austin Corbett to one-year contracts

The Buffalo Bills made three additions to their 2026 roster on Thursday. Buffalo signed center Lloyd Cushenberry, wide receiver Trent Sherfield and center/guard Austin Corbett each to one-year contracts.

Bills sign safety Geno Stone

Geno Stone joins the Bills after spending the last two seasons in Cincinnati.

Stone started all 17 games for the Bengals in both 2024 and 2025. Last season, he had 104 total tackles, four tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, four passes defensed, two sacks and two interceptions, including a pick six against New England.

Prior to his time in Cincinnati, the safety spent the first part of his NFL career with the Ravens. Baltimore drafted Stone in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Iowa, going 219th overall.

Bills sign punter Mitch Wishnowsky

The Buffalo Bills signed punter Mitch Wishnowsky to a one-year deal. Entering the 2026 league year, the Australian punter was slated to be an unrestricted free agent.

Wishnowsky joined the Bills' squad in 2025, coming from his six-season stint with the San Francisco 49ers (2019-24). In Buffalo, he had 38 punts for 1,590 net yards (1,723 total yards). This included 18 that landed inside the opponents 20-yard-line, 47.4 percent of his punts. Wishnowsky did not get blocked once in the 2025 season.

Bills sign safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson

Buffalo is adding a veteran presence to the secondary, signing safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a one-year deal.

Gardner-Johnson spent the 2025 season with three different teams, but finished the year on a high note as a key piece of the Chicago Bears defense. He appeared in 10 games, starting 7 and recorded 51 tackles, 5 TFL and 2 interceptions.

'CJGJ' is a seven-year NFL veteran who started his career with the Saints in 2019 as a fourth round selection. He was traded to the Eagles ahead of the 2022 season and started in 12 games with a career-high 6 interceptions for the eventual NFC Champions.

Bills sign quarterback Kyle Allen

The Buffalo Bills signed quarterback Kyle Allen on a two-year deal Thursday.

This is Allen's second stint in Buffalo after previously backing up quarterback Josh Allen in 2023. He appeared in seven games for the Bills that season.

Allen just finished his 2025 season with the Detroit Lions, beating out quarterback Hendon Hooker for the backup role. He made three game appearances for the Lions behind quarterback Jared Goff.

Bills sign CB Dee Alford

The Bills are stacking up on defense. Cornerback Dee Alford signed a three-year deal with Buffalo on Thursday.

Alford, 5'11 and 180 pounds, comes to Buffalo from Atlanta where he's spent his entire four-year career. The CB played in 64 games and started in 23 from 2022-25 with the Falcons.

He was used as a moveable chess piece in Atlanta as he played in the slot and on the outside.

Bills sign OLB Bradley Chubb

The Bills made a defensive splash in free agency, signing outside linebacker Bradley Chubb to a three-year deal.

Chubb, 29, is coming off an 8.5 sack season with the Miami Dolphins, also recording 47 tackles, 20 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles. Since coming into the league in 2017 as the fifth overall pick, Chubb has recorded 48 career sacks, 112 QB hits, 53 TFL and 15 forced fumbles.

Chubb has made two Pro Bowls (2020, 2022) during his time in the NFL, originally beginning his career with the Denver Broncos as the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft.

Bills officially acquire wide receiver DJ Moore from Bears via trade

The Buffalo Bills have landed an instant-impact wide receiver for quarterback Josh Allen, acquiring DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears. The trade is now official as the new league year begins.

The finalized trade includes Moore and Chicago's 2026 fifth round draft (pick No. 165) going to Buffalo in exchange for Buffalo's 2026 second round pick (No. 60 overall).

Bills trade CB Taron Johnson to Las Vegas Raiders in pick swap

The Buffalo Bills have acquired the Las Vegas Raiders' 2026 sixth round draft in exchange for cornerback Taron Johnson and a 2026 seventh round pick. The deal is now official with the start of the new league year.

Bills re-sign center Connor McGovern

The Bills announced that they re-signed center Connor McGovern on a four-year deal. He was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent entering the 2026 league year.

McGovern, 28, came to Buffalo in 2023 and started in all 49 games he played in for the Bills through the 2025 regular season as well as each playoff matchup. Over his three-year career in Buffalo, he logged 3,134 snaps on offense, averaging roughly 96.67 of the Bills' total snaps.

Bills and TE Dawson Knox agree to terms on new contract

The Bills and Dawson Knox have agreed to terms on a new contract that will keep the veteran tight end in Buffalo through 2028.

Knox has recorded 229 catches for 2,694 yards and 27 touchdowns in seven seasons in Buffalo. In 2025, Knox had his best season since 2022, ranking third on the team in receiving yards (417), tied for second in TDs (4) and fourth in targets (49).

Knox helped form a trio of tight ends for Buffalo which also includes Pro Bowl TE Dalton Kincaid and second-year TE Jackson Hawes. Buffalo ranked second among all teams in reception yards by tight ends (1,210) and touchdowns (12).
