The Erie County Legislature approved the lease agreement between the Buffalo Bills, New York State and Erie County during a session on Thursday afternoon.
The vote was 11-0 in favor of approving the ten-year lease agreement.
The deal reached in December calls for $130 million in updates to Ralph Wilson Stadium, which will begin later this year with an initial focus on the stadium's infrastructure.
The lawmakers recently toured Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park and saw renderings of what the renovations will look like.
The lease agreement is still subject to review by the NFL at their league meetings in mid-March, and during budgeting by the state.
