When Bills head coach Sean McDermott was asked after the regular season finale if the six-catch, 108-yard performance by WR Duke Williams against the Jets could get him consideration for playing time for this week's game in Houston, McDermott said, "Absolutely." Buffalo's sideline boss was true to his word as Williams is active for today's game against the Texans.
For Williams, it will be just the fifth game of his NFL career and first playoff appearance. The tall, physical receiver brings a different element to Buffalo's passing game as he makes receptions in contest situations. He's also the best blocking receiver on the roster.
In other good news, Shaq Lawson, Ty Nsekhe and Andre Roberts are all active for today's game. All three had been limited in practice.
The bad news is Levi Wallace is inactive for today's game meaning that Kevin Johnson will start at cornerback opposite Tre'Davious White.
Here is the full list of Bills inactives for the Wild Card game.
WR Robert Foster
RB TJ Yeldon
CB Levi Wallace
G Ike Boettger
OL Ryan Bates
TE Tommy Sweeney
DT Vincent Taylor
