The Buffalo Bills announced that eight Time Warner Cable branded eco-rides (rickshaws-bicycles with carts on the back), will be used to transport people from the parking lots to the stadium entry gates prior to the Bills game vs. the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, September 27, 2009.
Time Warner Cable will be using the complimentary eco-rides in Lot 3, the Bus Lot, Lot 2 and Lot 6 (all are across Abbott Road). The eco-rides will help get some of the fans to the gates sooner and are one way to encourage fans to arrive at the gates in time to obtain the game day giveaway, which is a Paul Posluszny trading card.
The first 50,000 fans to enter the game will receive a Posluszny trading card. Time Warner Cable will also have 31 marked cards amongst the 50,000 Posluszny trading cards that will designate special Time Warner Cable prizes for the fans in possession of the cards. Each winning card will be uniquely marked to indicate which Time Warner Cable service the person will win. Fans with the winning cards may redeem the cards at the Guest Services booth 133.
There will also be announcements periodically made during the game letting fans know which trading card is a prize winner.
"Time Warner Cable is a proud sponsor of the Buffalo Bills and as part of being the game day sponsor we thought it would be fun to provide complimentary eco-rides as well as the trading cards to Bills fans and our customers who will be at the game," said Terence Rafferty, Regional Vice President of Operations, Time Warner Cable. "Go Bills."
Gates to the stadium open 1½ hours prior to kickoff, or 2:30 p.m., for the 4:00 p.m. game this Sunday. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early (at least one hour in advance of kickoff) to avoid any potential delays at the gates.
In other related news, Time Warner Cable is the game day sponsor. Also, during pregame of the Bills vs. Saints game, there will be a special tribute of Bills 'Hometown Heroes' where representatives from the Buffalo Fire Department and First Responders from Clarence Flight 3407 will be recognized.
In addition, at halftime, the Bills will host Niagara Youth Football with a scrimmage between Williamsville and Grand Island as part of USA Football month.
