Ellison, Wilson sign tenders

Two of Buffalo's restricted free agents are under contract for the 2010 season. Linebacker Keith Ellison and safety George Wilson both signed their qualifying tender offers upon reporting to One Bills Drive for the start of the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program Monday.

Wilson is coming off a breakout season in which he started 12 games, finished second on the team in tackles, second in interceptions, third in special teams tackles, fourth in pass breakups and fourth in sacks.

Ellison, meanwhile was the team's leading tackler for better than half the season until a quad injury suffered in Week 10 cost him the rest of his 2009 season. He was placed on injured reserve prior to the Week 12 game against Miami.

Both players will be making the adjustment to the 3-4 defensive system being installed for Buffalo's defense this season.

Exclusive rights signingsA pair of exclusive rights free agents also signed their qualifying contract offers Monday. Defensive back Cary Harris and tight end Jonathan Stupar both re-signed with the Bills.

Harris spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad, but performed admirably when called up to the active roster for the season finale, posting a pair of interceptions in the Week 17 victory over Indianapolis.

Stupar appeared in 14 games in 2009 making a pair of starts. The tight end had six receptions on the season for 40 yards as he was often used in two tight end alignments. He also played a significant role on special teams.

Linebacker Jon Corto signed his exclusive rights tender back on March 9.

Huggins re-signedBuffalo also added to their wide receiving corps Monday re-signing Felton Huggins. The receiver has spent the past two and a half seasons on Buffalo's practice squad.

The 6'2" 186-pound wideout has 4.4 speed and could have a better chance of making the 53-man roster in 2010 with veterans Terrell Owens and Josh Reed no longer in the picture.

Huggins now gives Buffalo five receivers on their current roster.
