Energy in the locker room was high after the Bills dominated the New York Jets 40-14 on Sunday afternoon.

"Great environment again at home," head coach Sean McDermott said. "Great to win. 8-0 at home. Hard to do. It's just special to play here… The history that's been built here over the years and playing well at home in the red, white and blue with the Buffalo Bills. So great environment."

With the win the Bills not only secured the No. 2 seed going forward in the playoffs, but they accomplished a feat that has only been completed twice in Bills history -- they had an undefeated season at home.

"It's awesome," QB Josh Allen said. "That's as much as a team stat as a fan-based stat, too… We can feed off what our fans are giving us, and they've been the best in the league this year. Going back to since I've gotten here, they've been fantastic, and I truly believe we have the best fans in the world."

Veteran DE A.J. Epenesa, who has spent his entire five-year career with the Bills, said after the game that as much as this team has been doubted this year, it is great to see how much this team continues to work.

"I've been a part of a lot of good teams here and this team in particular was doubted more than any of the teams I've been a part of as a Buffalo Bill," Epenesa said. "Just goes to show that you know our guys work hard, they put the work in, they put the time and we're getting it done and that's what we're going to keep doing."

RT Spencer Brown also added to that and said that as teammates they all bond well.

"It feels awesome," Brown said. "The front office did a good job putting the team together with not just players, but like teammates. We all bond and get together really well."

The game started and ended fast as players up and down the roster got involved in the game. The defense sacked QB Aaron Rodgers 4.0 times and took the ball away an additional three times. The offense moved the ball and scored three touchdowns in the third quarter while the Jets remained scoreless until the fourth quarter.

"It's a lot of fun, it certainly makes my job easier," McDermott said. "I thought it was great to see, CB get that pick… And then Milano, Ed forced it, and then Milano almost had himself a touchdown, but great recovery and keep playing the game there."

"What we do is we try not to overthink," WR Khalil Shakir said. "We just put one foot in front of the other, put our heads down to go to work. There's nothing crazy to it. Nothing special about it. It's just every single individual out there doing their job."

On the first touchdown of the game, QB Josh Allen snuck into the end zone which tied Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas for the most rushing touchdowns in franchise history with 65. Adding to his campaign, Allen also became the first player in NFL history with 40+ touchdowns in five consecutive seasons and joined Rodgers as the only players with 40+ touchdowns at least five times in their career.

"Going back to high school, right, our coach was always yelling, 'what's the job of offense? It's to score,'" Allen said. "So, it's a good job that we're scoring. It's kind of all that it means, but I know the crowd was giving me a lot of love today, so I just wanted to reciprocate it a little bit there and tip the cap to them."

In addition to Allen adding to the history books, several other players on the Bills roster did as well. With his sack, DE Von Miller moved up to No. 16 all time in NFL history with 128.5 sacks, passing Ricky Jackson.

"Another great. It's always something to play for," Miller said. "Just blessed to still be in the league and still be on a great team."

WR Amari Cooper also added to the history books, eclipsing 10,000 yards in his career.

"It's a huge milestone, that's kind of the floor of the conversation of a Hall of Fame receiver, once a receiver crosses that 10,000-yard mark, everything else is like gravy on top, but that's where the conversations start, and that's always been a goal of mine," Cooper said. "I obviously have a long way to go, but I'm just looking forward to continuing to make plays, continuing to catch the ball, continuing to make plays for my team."

WR Tyrell Shavers also made his first catch of his career in the fourth quarter, and he took it to the end zone for a 69-yard touchdown.

"They called the play, we're on the side like, 'Oh, snap, Shave's gonna get his first touch,' and take it 69 yards to the house. Just the joy on everyone's faces," Shakir said. "It shows like, the love and team chemistry that we have for each other. We enjoy when every single person goes out there and balls out and for that to happen to him, somebody who's just put his head down went to work... He deserves it. He goes to work, doesn't say a word, doesn't complain and obviously takes advantage when his number's called."

DT Ed Oliver, who had a sack and forced fumble in the game, said that it feels like this team played with confidence and this is the confidence that they need moving forward.

"When you go out there and make plays like that, it boosts your confidence, and it propels you into next weekend, and then it's like a snowball effect," Oliver said. "It's great for the whole team… speaking from my own experience, just getting one of the days to just prove it my own self like, 'you still him, you still you, still that boy, you still that guy,' and we're gonna need that going into playoffs."
