Q: What did you like about Cyril Richardson?A: Once again we're going to stick with our theme of big offensive lineman. He's a big mauler type guard who can gain movement. We just love his power and his strength. This guy has played against some of the top competition and played in the Senior Bowl. We followed him and it's just another big guard for us.
Q: Another guy with a lot of experience right?A: Yeah, another guy that has played for a while.
Q: He won Offensive Lineman of the Year in the Big 12. So you thought he fared pretty well against some top competition?A: Right. Sometimes I know I was joking about being the best guy on the board, but this was another guy that we all really liked the whole year. He fits what we're looking for in terms of size and strength.
Q: Did his play this past year meet your expectations?A: I think what happened a little bit at the Senior Bowl during the week he may have not had the best practices and stuff like that. When the game was on he came right back and played like he was capable of. Maybe that turned some people away, but we're not afraid of him.
Q: Was the fact that he played in an up-tempo offense at Baylor something that appealed to you?A: Oh yeah. He's experienced with getting up and down with the ball.
Q: Does he have long range starting potential?A: Yeah, we don't draft guys to be backups; we want guys to compete and challenge to start.
Q: When is the earliest you see him pushing to start?A: I think that depends on how quickly he comes in and picks things up. That's hard for a lot of guys, but if he comes in and picks things up he has the ability. Guys like him play in the NFL and start.
Q: These guys are all huge. Is that what you're going for?A: That's it. We're going to keep going big.
Q: Can you comment on how the running back position has changed over the last couple hours?A: Well I'll talk about Bryce (Brown) as a player; I'm going to let coach handle the dynamic of the position. Bryce Brown is a player coming out of high school even, I remember watching him at Tennessee, and he was unbelievable as a freshman. He had some problems, went to Kansas State and the Eagles got him in the seventh round. They gave him the ball a little bit in 2012 and you can see some real ability. This guy has size, speed and he is an explosive playmaker. For whatever reason we got the deal done, but we're excited.
Q: It's being reported that this is a deal that you were working on for quite a while. Is that accurate?A: That's accurate. Yeah, they had reached out to us about him before and we reached back, but never could find the right deal. It got done.
Q: Do you remember what you timed him at in the 40-yard dash?A: I'd have to go back and look, but he was a low 4.4 guy I think for a 220 pound back.
Q: What do you think about his ball security?A: That was 2012. Last year he was clean.
Q: Are you pleasantly surprised when you get a call from the Eagles about a player like Bryce?A: Yeah. We're happy with that.
Q: How much of a priority was it to address the running back position during this weekend?A: I wouldn't say it was a priority. We're just trying to stick with what we think the best player is to help our team.
Q: What do you think about his hands?A: His hands are good; he can be used out of the backfield. Hopefully get some special teams out of him too.

Q: What do you think about the fit here with the Bills?
A: I think it's a great one. I'm glad to be a part of this. It's a great institution. It's a great fit.
Q: How much did you have an idea of their interest heading into the draft weekend?
A: You know, you hear things but I really just sat there and waited on it because it's not what you hear, it's what happens.
Q: Do you know Doug Marrone much and his background as an offensive lineman? Does that have you excited that you're going to be playing for an old lineman?
A: Yes, it does. I did my research and got a couple things out of it.
