Prior to joining the Bills in 2013, Jim Monos spent the previous eight years (2005-12) as an Area Scout with the New Orleans Saints. As Director of Player Personnel, Monos collaborates with Director of Pro Personnel Tom Gibbons on all free agent evaluations and personnel decisions. He also scouts college prospects throughout the year.
In his role with New Orleans, Monos was responsible for evaluating players from colleges located throughout the Southeast region of the country.
Monos served as an Area Scout for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2001-04 where he covered the Northeast region. In 2000, Monos served as a dual-role intern for the Eagles in player personnel and media relations.
A native of Palmyra, PA, Monos was the starting quarterback at Lebanon Valley College in 1995 before transferring to Bloomsburg University, where he earned a degree in journalism.
