For Bills fans, it's been one of the most anticipated decisions in the Buffalo offseason. What will be Mario Williams' jersey number? With a week before OTA practices commence the decision has been made.
Williams has decided to don jersey number 94. The announcement was also made on the Bills twitter account.
Fans can place orders for Mario Williams jerseys right away.
The six-year veteran had previously worn number 90 his entire career, but that number has been worn by veteran defensive end Chris Kelsay with the Bills since 2003.
Williams told Buffalobills.com that 94 had been a number he was eyeing from the time he signed knowing that 90 was probably off the table. The defensive end doesn't think his new number will feel weird on him.
"It's not something I'm going to have to get used to, it's just a number," Williams said. "I look at it like it's a new day, a new chapter in my career, so I'm changing things up a bit."
