Orchard Park, NY – Buffalo will open the NFL's preseason against the New York Giants in the Hall of Fame game and will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions in Weeks Three and Four at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The Bills will kick off the preseason against the New York Giants in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday, August 3 at 8 p.m. in Canton, Ohio – the day after former Bills WR Andre Reed will be inducted as a member of the Hall of Fame. Buffalo will make their fourth appearance in the Hall of Fame game and first since 2009 when they faced the Tennessee Titans to mark the 50th anniversary of the AFL. This year's exhibition tilt against New York will mark the fifth time the Bills and Giants will have met in the preseason and first since 1991.
Buffalo will make consecutive road trips in Weeks One and Two to face the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers before playing host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Weeks Three and Four.
Buffalo and Carolina will square off on Friday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. to mark the fourth preseason game between the Bills and Panthers and first since 2006.
The Bills and Steelers will meet for the 10th time in a preseason match-up on Saturday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Field. Buffalo and Pittsburgh are also planning joint training camp practices in Latrobe, Pa.
Buffalo will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, August 23 (time TBD) which will offer Bills fans their first experience at Ralph Wilson Stadium since undergoing renovations to fan areas including: stadium perimeter expansion, installation of additional video boards, renovated concourses, updated and increase of concession areas and restrooms and more. The game will also mark the team's 14th annual Kids Day Game. Tampa Bay and Buffalo will meet for the fourth time in preseason history and first since 1993. The Bills will close out their preseason schedule at home against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, August 28 at 7 p.m. The two teams will meet for the 13th consecutive year in an exhibition game and for the 34th time in preseason history.
