Bills veteran QB Kevin Kolb won't be participating in this evening's live scrimmage, but it won't be because of his recent knee injury.
Kolb has a death in the family and has been excused from training camp to attend the funeral. No word from the club at this point as to when the quarterback will return to the team.
We expect to get more details from head coach Doug Marrone at the conclusion of Monday night's practice.
Kolb slipped on a rubber mat Saturday jogging from one practice field to the other and hasn't practice since. He's been listed as day-to-day.
No live scrimmage reps for C.J., Mario, Chandler
The Bills are also going to be smart with a few of their players in tonight's live scrimmage portion of practice meaning a couple of their more notable players will not be participating.
Among them is C.J. Spiller, who will not get any work in the live scrimmage. He'll participate in the portions of practice prior to the live scrimmage work, but not the plays that involve tackling to the ground.
Also not playing in the live scrimmage portion of practice are Scott Chandler and Mario Williams. Chandler is coming off a long offseason rehab and his reps in regular practice has been closely monitored. Williams is just working his way back into the practice setting coming off a sore foot.
Here is the list of injured players that will not suit up at all here on Monday night.
Stevie Johnson
Kevin Elliott
Justin Rogers
Duke Williams
Chris Hairston
Mike Caussin
Kyle Williams
