The Buffalo Bills have named Rob Moore as wide receivers coach.

Moore, 45, will enter his first season in the NFL coaching ranks after spending the past four seasons as the wide receivers coach for Syracuse University.

During his time coaching the Orange, Moore helped lead his alma mater to three bowl victories. Under Moore's tutelage, WR Alec Lemon finished his career ranked first in the Orange record books for all-time receptions (201) and second in all-time receiving yards (1,780).

Prior to his coaching stint at Syracuse, Moore was the wide receivers coach for Phoenix Junior College in 2009. Moore also spent time working as a consultant for Protect Management and Athlete's Performance training athletes for the NFL Draft where he oversaw future draft picks including Robert Meachem, Dwayne Bowe, Vernon Davis, Golden Tate and Arrelious Benn. From 2002-03, Moore was Montclair High School's receivers coach.

Moore, a 12-year NFL veteran, was the first overall pick of the New York Jets in the 1990 NFL Supplemental Draft. He spent five years with New York (1990-1994) and seven with the Arizona Cardinals (1995-2001). In 153 games played (146 starts), Moore registered 628 receptions for 9,368 yards and 49 touchdowns en route to earning Pro Bowl honors in 1994 and 1997 in addition to All-Pro honors during the 1997 season.

A four-year starter at Syracuse University, Moore's collegiate playing career ranks amongst the best in Orange school history. The Hempstead, NY native holds SU records for receiving yards per game (75.8) and career touchdown receptions (22). He was named to Syracuse's All-Century Team in November 1999.
