Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills announced that they will host the nationally renowned 14th Annual Drums Along the Waterfront competition at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 5:30 p.m.
Billed as the "Grand Slam of Drum Corps," The Drums Along the Waterfront is a musical sport featuring the power and precision of the world's best drum and bugle corps. The event will include the thirteen-time DCI World Champion Blue Devils, five-time DCA Champion Empire Statesmen, and "The Commandant's Own," U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, plus a special tribute to veterans and service members.
A total of twelve different drum and bugle corps will perform on the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The competing corps includes the Blue Devils of Concord, CA, Boston Crusaders of Boston, MA, The Academy of Tempe, AZ, Troopers of Casper, WY, Spirit of Atlanta, GA, Cascades of Woodinville, CA and Pioneer of Milwaukee, WI.
A special exhibition will be performed by the Mighty St. Joe's Alumni Corps, Preston Scout House Alumni Corps, The Toronto Optimists Alumni Corps and THE EMPIRE STATESMAN from Rochester, NY. The Unites States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps will be the special guests and round out the exhibition.
Tickets for the event are only $22 in advance ($25 on the day of the event) for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Students, seniors and military may purchase the tickets for $20. Tickets are also available at the Ralph Wilson Stadium box office M-F 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A special Bills Season Ticket Holder price of $18 for adults is also available. Available seats are located in the lower level sidelines. Parking for the event is complimentary to fans.
