Safety Tips to Stay Warm

The Bills later season games can bring snow and cold temperatures…be safe!

If you are planning to be outside for any extended time, please take precautions to avoid frostbite or hypothermia.

Please see tips below to help keep you safe and warm:

  • If you're traveling to the Bills game, make sure your car is ready for the weather.
    • Check the antifreeze level, tire tread (use all-weather or snow tires) and have a full tank of gas.
    • Have a first aid kit, blankets, food and water, and anything else you think you may need if stranded.
  • Wear outdoor clothing and be aware of the weather forecast, temperatures, and wind chill.
    • Wear waterproof boots, hats, gloves/mittens, socks, and layers of breathable clothing, ski goggles, etc.
    • Battery-operated clothing is permitted.
    • Make sure you have a fully charged cellphone with charger.
  • Lake effect snow is difficult to predict.
    • There could be light flurries of snow one minute and near whiteout conditions the next minute.
    • Prepare for the near whiteouts of lake effect to be safe!
  • Eat warm food, and drink warm beverages which can help increase or maintain body temperature.
    • Limit or don't drink alcoholic beverages, especially when cold.
  • Be safe and warm and Go Bills!
