1 – McCoy goes over 100 and 1,000LeSean McCoy had things working well in the snow. He put up his 37th career 100-yard rushing game Sunday with a total of 156 yards on a career-high 32 carries, which put him over 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Oh and he also had the game-winning 21-yard touchdown run in overtime to win the game.

"Shady is always good for popping one," said Joe Webb. "That was a great time for him to pop one, to put the game, seal the game. The way that he ended the game words can't explain."

"Well we like to put a lot of pressure on the guys up front and get them going," said McCoy. "I kind of asked them, 'What do you guys want to do? What type of runs do you want?' Up the middle, to the side. So, we tried to correct those and make them work. It was the run game altogether collectively to get it done. The guys up front blocked pretty well and I got a chance to bounce it outside and score."  

His longest run from scrimmage came on a seven-play, 80-yard scoring drive, when he ripped off a 25-yard run, one play after rushing for 23 yards. It helped to put Buffalo in scoring territory with Peterman eventually hitting Benjamin for the only touchdown pass of the game just before the half.

McCoy did not seem to struggle on the snow-covered field as much as the other players despite measurable snowfall of up to six inches during the game.

"I didn't have an issue with it at all," he said of his footing on the field. "I don't know, I can still cut and run as if there's no snow. I slipped here and there. There were some cuts that I missed. For the most part I was cutting and running and stopping where other guys were slipping. Maybe I know I'm going to get the ball a lot so I try to play extra good if that makes sense."

"He's from the Harrisburg area so he's a PA guy," said head coach Sean McDermott. "I was just waiting for him to rip one off and he did. It was good to see. LeSean, his day was big for us."

Fourteen of McCoy's 100-yard rushing days have now come in a Bills uniform. That tied him with Willis McGahee for fourth-most in team history.

Now with 1,007 rushing yards this season, it's the sixth 1,000-yard rushing campaign of his career. He's just 39 yards shy now of 10,000 rushing yards in his career.

2 – Peterman makes progress, but injuredBuffalo went into Sunday's game down a quarterback with Tyrod Taylor out with a knee injury. They came out of the game down another signal caller as Nate Peterman left the game in the third quarter to be evaluated for a head injury.

"Basically Nate is in the concussion protocol right now," head coach Sean McDermott confirmed after the game.

Peterman was injured on a scramble when he lowered his head to lunge forward with two tacklers closing on him. It appeared one of the defenders went helmet to helmet with Peterman. He was visibly woozy as he was helped off the field.

The rookie signal caller demonstrated progress with his game as he went 5-10 passing for 57 yards with his first touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin as the pair hooked up three times for 38 yards before he left the game.

"I thought he executed well," said coach McDermott. "I thought (offensive coordinator) Rick (Dennison) called a good game and we got the ball to Kelvin in matchup situations, which was big for us before the half. There wasn't a whole lot of the ball moving prior to that on their side or our side. I thought that was key to score before half and that type of drive and execution in those types of conditions was pretty impressive."

"He has a bright future," said McCoy. "I can't tell if it's right now, but I can tell you he's going to play in this league for a long time and he's smart. But he's a heck of a player he really is. So, I'm not really surprised that he came out and handled himself. The one thing I like about him is he's really confident."

Joe Webb stepped in at quarterback for the rest of the game for the Bills. The only other player with quarterback experience on the roster is TE Logan Thomas, who entered the league as a quarterback out of Virginia Tech, before transitioning to tight end with the Bills.

3 – Benjamin the best pass option, but injuredThis might prove to be the case in any weather conditions, but on a snowy and windy day in Orchard Park, the Bills chose to target their tallest receiver with the biggest set of hands on the team. Kelvin Benjamin saw six of the team's nine first half pass attempts and pulled down three for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Benjamin lived up to his billing of being open even when covered as he out jumped Colts CB Kenny Moore on a 21-yard pass play down the right sideline near the end of the half. He then followed that up with an eight-yard touchdown catch on a fade pass from Peterman to the right corner of the end zone.

"One on one," said Benjamin of his scoring play. "We knew it was one on one and we just wanted to take our shot. Punch it in."

For Benjamin, it was the first touchdown catch of his Bills career. The receiver also eclipsed the 2,500-yard mark for his career with his three-catch, 38-yard performance Sunday.

Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury with just under 12 minutes remaining in the game. He appeared to bang his right knee hard on the turf as he made an attempt to pull in a pass. It was the same knee in which he has a torn meniscus. He returned for one play late in regulation when the game was tied.

Coach McDermott said postgame that Benjamin was still being evaluated.
