1) Superstitious

Broeker's pre-game ritual is the same week after week. Aside from practicing hard and watching extra film, he always eats a Snickers and puts the wrapper in his left sock on game days. This all started because when he was 12 or 13 years old he did it before a basketball game and scored 40 points, so he hasn't stopped.

2) Perfect attendance

The guard appeared in 48 career games as a Rebel, not missing one game in his four years at Ole Miss. During that time, he started 23 games at left tackle and 13 at left guard. In 2022, he earned 2nd-Team All-SEC at LG after allowing 0 sacks, according to PFF.

3) Buffalo blood

Broeker won the 2022 Kent Hull Trophy — an award given to the best offensive lineman in the state of Mississippi. Coincidentally, Hull played for the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1996 and where he was a two-time First-Team All-Pro. Hull was selected to the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.

4) Family Ties

Broeker's Father, John, played right tackle at Northwestern and his Brother, Jack, walked on at Illinois as an offensive lineman.

5.) On the field and the court

The 4-star high school recruit was also a Top 35 OT prospect nationally. His athletic skills also shined on the basketball court as he was an All-State pick as a senior in football (1st-Team) and basketball (honorable mention). Broeker averaged 16.7 PPG and a district-leading 9.5 rebounds/game.
