On if he thought Buffalo was going to select him:
Buffalo gave me a sure bet. They said if I'm at three they're going to select me. I didn't believe them, but they made a believer out of me.
On how he feels as being seen as an answer to Buffalo's run defense:
I accept it with open arms. They want to stop the run then I have to stop the run. I have to do everything in my power to make it happen.
On his thoughts as he hugged NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after being picked:
I made it. I don't know what the NFL and NFLPA, the Players Association what they have going on. I'm a part of it now, but at that moment I made it to that point and everybody was shaking his hand and I wanted to give him a hug because I finally made it to the big dance.
On if playing for Alabama head coach Nick Saban helped prepare him more for the transition to the NFL:
Of course it will. I'm ready to play and I'm ready to go.
On the things he's gone through including the passing of his mom last May followed by storms (tornadoes) in Alabama yesterday (Wednesday, April 27th):
There was a lot going on and I can't wait to get back home to see if I could fill in the blanks and find out what was going on.
On if everything is okay with his family back in Alabama:
I talked to my brother and it's kind of hard, but we've been texting back and forth and I got to talk to him briefly. I'm happy that everybody is safe. Everybody else here was praying for me and I'm glad my prayers were answers and I'll be going back home to see my brothers and sisters.
On if he takes pride in stuffing the run:
I'm going to come in and do the best I can. That's all I can do.
On if he thought he was going to Buffalo at 3:
They told me they were going to pick me up but I didn't believe them. But they made a believer out of me.
On why he didn't believe them:
I don't know. Sometimes teams tell you one thing and a whole other thing happens.
On what he meant when he said he was 'going to bring some warmth to Buffalo' as he got picked:
I'm a warm handed guy. The fan base is crazy. I'm going to put a little light up under everybody and warm it up, up there.
On his thoughts on playing in a cold weather city:
It doesn't bother me at all.
On what he knows about the team:
I do know they have a good history and a great background like the University of Alabama and I can't wait to get there so I can really get the feel of everything.
On the fact that Bruce Smith was the last time the Bills took a defensive linemen that high:
There's always time for another one. I'm a hungry young man ready to make the transition that wants to cause havoc in the league.
