Wide Receiver Lee Evans
PM Practice – July 29, 2008
On the offense's performance tonight and the addition of new plays
It's a big mental thing. A lot went in today that we didn't get a chance to rep. A lot of guys were thinking about what went in today so it's a mental day. I think we got some things done. One thing we wanted to focus on was not jumping offside and changing up the plays so I think we did a good job on things like that. I thought it was alright. There are some things we need to clean up but we handled some of the things that we needed to.
On if mistakes were made due to the night practice
Yea, a little bit maybe, especially for some of those young guys not used to this. There were probably more people here tonight than some had in their college days so I am sure some had a level of nervousness or anxiety but they will get used to it.
On getting worked up after a practice like this
I think more so than anything is that you look at what you did positively. We obviously know what we did [some things] negatively. You look at some of the positives that we did: staying on sides and changing up the plays which I think we did a decent job of handling that so you can progress from that. When you have to take steps backwards and you don't line up right and things like that then you really have worries but execution will come.
