Free agent defensive end Mario Williams has not yet made a decision on whether the Bills will be his new NFL team, but he'll be sleeping on all that Ralph Wilson's organization has presented to him in Buffalo tonight. After the pass rusher's arrival Tuesday evening stretched into Wednesday, Williams will spend another night in Western New York.
Williams left the facility at One Bills Drive early Wednesday evening, but will be staying in town overnight.
Earlier in the day Williams underwent a routine physical with team doctors off site, then arrived later that morning at the team's administration building where he took a tour of the team facility. During the lunch hour he went to welcome his fiancé to town at the Buffalo Niagara International airport as she flew up to Buffalo.
Williams and his fiancé were then escorted around Western New York where they took in the local communities in and around Orchard Park where Ralph Wilson Stadium is located. After returning to One Bills Drive late in the afternoon the couple chose to stretch their visit in Buffalo into Thursday.
No word on how close Williams is to a final decision on signing with the Bills. Per team policy the Bills do not comment on the state of negotiations until they are completed.
Among the other NFL clubs mentioned to be interested in Williams include Seattle and Tennessee. The Titans as of late Wednesday were also pursuing free agent QB Peyton Manning. An NFL.com report indicated that Williams absent a deal with Buffalo could visit another unnamed NFL club at some point on Thursday.
