ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Buffalo Bills announced that WR Ruvell Martin (pronounced RUE-vell) has signed a contract extension with the team. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Martin posted seven catches for 82 yards and tied for second on the team in special teams tackles in 2011. He was signed to the team's 53-man roster on September 13th after being released prior to the regular season.
Martin has totaled 72 catches for 1,088 yards and seven touchdowns in 68 games with nine starts since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Diego in 2004. The 6-4, 214-pound Saginaw Valley State product spent the 2005-08 seasons with Green Bay before joining St. Louis in 2009 and spent a portion of the 2010 season with Seattle.
